Last night I let myself indulge at my favorite restaurant. I had the market salad to start (so amazing!) and then the Butcher’s Cut Hanger Steak that comes with french fries. The fries were delicious and salty. I didn’t have them all, but I enjoyed the ones I had. As my one cheat meal for the week so far, I would say it was worth it. We have to treat ourselves sometimes. I’ve learned that we can’t feel guilty when we have an “unperfect” meal, because that’s what leads us to “fall off the rails”. No one is perfect, and this is a lifetime commitment to healthy eating, we should be able to indulge on the rare occasion, and not beat ourselves up about it.
