New Beginnings

January 27th, 1st day of my new life, and the start of what I know will be an incredible journey. I have had success in weight loss in the past year, and lost a significant amount of weight. With the help and support of my family, my uncle Bobby, my brothers, parents and friends. But I have plateau-ed, slacked off, been too lenient, and not continued towards my goal for a couple months now. Flailing. Flailing is the worst. A half hearted effort, without much improvement is more frustrating than one can imagine. Therefore, this blog came to be. I don’t know if I’ll share it with anyone, for now, I’m using it more like a diary. Who knows what mood will strike me in time. I just wanted a clear chronicle of what I’m doing in the coming months. For now, my goal is to write what I will eat the night before, and post weekly pictures of my progress. I’m sure there will be a lot of talking about feelings (that’s why we’re all here aren’t we? oh ya, by we- I mean me).

I’m really looking forward to this and hope to actually accomplish not only my goal of 100 pounds lost by this time in 2015, but also of blogging about my story.  Everyone needs guidance, and a helping hand when they are trying to better their lives. Sometimes one sentence is all it takes. When I accomplish this goal for myself, I hope to help other people to do the same for themselves.

I have suffered in this body for too long, I deserve so much more. I am AMAZING, and I need to treat myself that way. I won’t get into the reasons I think I got into this situation in the first place, maybe in time I will. But for now, let’s focus on how I’m going to take charge, be accountable, and save my own god damn life.

I will be blogging my weight loss every day for an entire year. My goal is to lose 100 lbs.
